FULL MOON HIGH – The only school with a team-wolf!
When Tony, a high-school football hero in the small town of Full Moon , is taken on vacation to Transylvania by his CIA agent Father, he little realises the trouble a nick on the neck is going to cause him!
On his return, when he discovers his hands becoming hairy, fleas on his head, a terrible case of bad breath and a carnivorous appetite, he decides to leave town – for 20 years!
Becoming homesick he comes back to his home town only to find everything changed – including his old school. Being a werewolf means he has not aged, so when he joins the football team as his own son, nobody notices the difference – that is until the big match against Simpson High when the team that wins will be the only one with a team-wolf!
Sounds good doesn't it? And no, I haven't heard of it either! It does however have one of the best Wikipedia pages I've seen:
"Critical Reception
Movie critic Jon Andrew, of The Tampa Bugle wrote, "This movie is the single greatest film ever made and quite possibly the most important piece of media ever produced by mankind." When asked if he had even seen the film, Andrew was quoted, "Well, no not exactly. But, I can just tell. I mean the poster says it all! How would a movie about vampires robbing banks in the Wild West NOT be great?
Andrew was fired from the Bugle and investigated for fraud when it was discovered that he had even played a small role in the film. In a 1988 interview with Rolling Stone magazine, director Larry Cohen said, "Oh yes, I remember Jon. We originally hired him as an extra to play Vince, the band leader, but had to let him go after a series of incidents. While filming he kept on interrupting the lead actors and yelling 'Where's the vampires? When are we going to rob the banks?' It was very strange. We eventually just told him that the bank robbing scene was taking place in New Mexico and he should show up in Santa Fe the next day. We never heard from him again."
Andrew is currently serving a 45 year sentence for aggravated assault after crashing a school bus into a Santa Fe department store and brandishing firearms at customers fleeing the wreckage. Eyewitnesses claimed he was screaming "I vant your suck your blood! This is a stick up!""
What you will also see on the Wiki page is this travesty:
Can you believe that? They commissioned a wonderful and fun piece of art...and for the video release they cobble this together. Shame on them.
In case you're wondering this film actually pre-dates Teen Wolf by a good 4 years - didn't expect that did you!
